Tom's Entry for the Memory Book for the 2008 Reunion:

After graduating from Don Bosco, I worked on the Milwaukee Road Railroad for one year.  In 1959 I started working for Allen-Bradley where I continued to work for the next 38 years.  I worked in electronics for 20 years and worked in many places, El Paso, Texas; Juarez, Mexico, California.  For the next 18 years I worked in power devices, relays, starters, etc.  Also traveled to Canada, Minnesota,  St. Louis, MO, and Seattle, WA.  I retired as a Sr. Engineering Analyst in 1997.

In 1960 my wife, Carolyn and I were married.  We will be celebrating our 48th wedding anniversary this August.  We were blessed with four wonderful children.  They are all married and still live within 25 miles of us, so we get to see them all quite frequently.  We have ten grandchildren ranging in age from 11 months to 19 years old.  Seven of the grandchildren are five years old and younger, so that’s keeps us quite busy in our retirement.

My spare time in retirement is spent fishing, hunting, and wood working.  Every Christmas I have a new project to work on for all the adult kids.

We like traveling, also.  We’ve been to most of the states,  including Hawaii.  This past spring we went to Stuttgart Germany.  Our youngest daughter, her husband, and two children were there for six months for his job.  We saw a whole lot of Germany and also  visited France.

Thanks to all the Brothers at Don Bosco for the fine education I received there.  If not for that, I don’t know where I would have been.  They taught me values that got me thru my whole life.

We’re looking forward to the class reunion. It will be so great to see all our classmates from 1958.
